Suyog Bhandari

I build simulation pipelines and tools that turn physics into usable data: synthetic sensor rigs for SLAM, and optimizers for 3D-printed acoustic materials.

Grocery Aisle RGB + LiDAR Simulation

A layered harness for a grocery-store sensor rig. Isaac Sim renders the aisle and publishes RGB, RTX LiDAR, TF and clock over the ROS 2 bridge, while RTAB-Map runs odometry and SLAM against a separate ground-truth stream. A localhost dashboard streams camera, point clouds, maps and evaluation metrics live.

metaopt: Acoustic Metamaterial Optimizer

A geometry optimizer for 3D-printed acoustic absorbers. It searches unit-cell geometries for target absorption across a frequency band and exports printable designs.

About

I like problems where software meets the physical world: making simulated sensors behave like real ones, keeping ground truth honest, and measuring whether a system actually works. I care about reproducible pipelines, clear evaluation, and tools other people can run.

Simulation

Isaac Sim, PhysX, USD, synthetic sensors

Robotics

ROS 2, SLAM, TF, LiDAR & RGB pipelines
